How To Upgrade Venio Console

- Download the latest version of Venio_ConsoleWeb from the Venio Zapa Portal. Please contact Venio support team if you did not receive your login info.

- Unzip the contents of the downloaded file.

Release Folder Hierarchy

The release package contains the following folders:

VenioOne Console/Web/Processing Installer

- Applets: Contains binaries for applet plugin
- Console: Contains installer for VenioOne console
- Web: Contains installer for VenioOne Web

Run the Setup File in the console folder and follow the steps in the wizard below.

1. Click the Install button.

2. Click Next on the Welcome page

3. Check the box to accept the license agreement and click Next.

4. If this is an upgrade of an existing Venio environment, leave the components that will be installed as the values they currently are. Since this is an upgrade, these are read from the existing environment. defaults. Click Next.

5. Click the Test Credentials button and Next. 

6. Click Next in the Select Additional Tasks step of the wizard

7. Click Install to begin the installation in the Ready to Install VenioOne(x64) step of the wizard.

8. Create/Update Venio Database wizard is displayed. Click the Test Connection button. When the test is successful, click Next. 

9. Click Save in the Venio Configuration Editor.

10. Click Finish. 

11. Since this is an upgrade, the specified control database has been created in the past. A prompt is displayed during setup process that asks if you would like to upgrade the existing
database. Click ‘Yes’ to upgrade the existing database. Once the control database is upgraded, individual projects can be selected for upgrade as indicated in the below screenshot below:

NOTE: It might take a long time to upgrade the databases based on the number and size
of the project databases that were selected. Please wait until all the selected projects are
upgraded before continuing.

12.  Applet Installation
Take the following steps to configure the Applet Plugin:
- Copy the setup folder ..\Applets to the Venio Console Program Files Folder
"C:\Program Files\Venio\VenioFPR\". If prompted to replace existing files, select yes.
- Updated plugins should be available in the Applets module as
shown in the screenshot below. 

13. If you have additional servers handling Venio Distributed Services, Venio Search Services, Venio Web, or Venio OnDemand, please follow their respective guides. Otherwise, if you do not have additional servers, your Venio Console environment is now successfully upgraded.
