Problem:
We are finding incomplete PSTs in the Potentially Problematic Archive Report under the heading 'All/Some files within archive are not extracted' and so how do we go about re-processing these so we get any incomplete/missing email items, assuming this is needed to be done?
Resolution
With file missing cases, it is not feasible just to re-extract 'remaining' files. In such cases, files can be re-processed using file replacement. Before you run file-replacement we'd recommend running ScanPST on original pst and fix any issue that PST may half. If child missing was due to some corruption in PST, running this step may help. Then create a load file with
<FileId>, <full network path to pst>
Please note if pst was repaired, provide full path to repaired pst; otherwise original pst path can be used. Then use the load file in file replacement module to replace file. Please note that when pst is run through file replacement, venio will delete PST, email & all attachments from that PST that were extracted during initial processing and try to extract pst again.
