The problem
The health checkup states the following:
Some of the health checks of distributed services in "<SERVERNAME>" performed on 1/1/1901 12:00 AM have failed.
Please check the following plugins
1. Ingestion-Legacy
-NSF Configuration for current user test: Error while converting sample NSF file. Please configure Lotus Notes by opening the program from user account "<account>". Error Code : -11111
Login to the server under the SAME account as the venio service account. We need to verify that during Lotus notes installation on the server hosting the Distributed Service, the userid file needs to be created at:
C:\Users\"<service account>"\AppData\Local\IBM\Notes\Data
If this path and\or the userid file does not exist, or if the path does exist but restarting the distributed service and re-running the health checkup still fails, you may need to completely uninstall Lotus notes.
Follow these steps carefully after the install completes and you open Lotus Notes for the first time under the Venio service account on the server hosting the distributed service.
- Launch IBM Lotus Notes application.
- Now, configuration wizard begins, click on Next.
- This is the MOST important step. Enter period character . in the "Your Name" field and de-select "I want to connect to a Domino server" then click next
Your name MUST be '.' (period) character! The period (.) character is NOT a placeholder and is intentional! - IBM Lotus Notes has various features which allows you to connect with various other internet services. These services can be left un-configured which means you can Press Finish.
-
Verify on the server hosting the Distributed Service, the userid file exists at:
C:\Users\"<service account>"\AppData\Local\IBM\Notes\Data - Restart the Distributed service
- Log into the Venio console and run health checkups from the distributed services manager.
